Sculptures
Among the many sculptures Sonny has crafted, the most impressive one is ‘El Cristo de la Reconciliación’ located in the eponymous sanctuary in Dorado, P.R. It is considered the world’s largest wall hanging sculpture.
He authored the bronze bust of Jose Miguel Agrelot , A.K.A. Don Cholito, that is placed in the Lobby of the eponymous Coliseum in Hato Rey, P.R. As well, in Bayamon’s Science Park, there is a copy of Don Cholito’s bust showcased for everyone to enjoy.
The sculptures ‘Duelo Gallero’ and ‘Concierto’ located at Centro de Mercadeo Internacional – in front of the Federal Prison Facility in Fort Buchanan – are also part of his artistic legacy.
In Ciudad Jardín de Gurabo, his piece entitled ‘Capricho’ embellishes one of its fountains. The gardens of Ciudad Jardin de Bairoa, in Caguas, set the backdrop for ‘Ondulación Elíptica’. Among his most recent works are ‘Los Dragones de Marbella Club’ and ‘Gaviotas en Fuga’ located at Palmas del Mar, in Humacao, P.R.
His latest masterpiece is ‘La Música’, a massive 12-feet high and 57-feet long bas-relief mural located inside the “Gran Salón” of the Guaynabo’s Music Museum.
