As a producer in the 80’s, he created ‘Las Cheris,’ a female quartet that revolutionized the entertainment world and portrayed an image ahead of its time by wearing daring costumes similar to those currently worn by stars such as Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, etc.
Sonny availed himself of a elite group of professionals to create the sound, image, and repertoire of ‘Las Cheris’:
